Melissa Kaish is the daughter of two artists, Morton and Luise Kaish, and an artist herself. She received her BA from Dartmouth College in 1983 majoring in Art History and Studio Art. After graduation, she began a Masters in Architecture at Harvard University and travelled to Australia and Hong Kong to work for the architectural firm PDCM Yuncken Freeman. Melissa later received an MBA from Columbia University, where she concentrated in real estate development and marketing. She worked in California and Paris for five years for Euro Disney during their start up and opening in France. Based in New York, Melissa has been working with her father for the past two years to document the art work of her mother Luise who passed away in 2013. She has also served on a number of boards, including the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Fine Arts in New York.
