I'm an Advanced Standing student in Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College's Masters in Social Work program. I just graduated with my BSW this past May from Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY in Rockland County, which is where I live. In my undergrad field placement at The Alzheimer's Association I was able to run a few watercolor painting workshops for individuals with dementia.
I've always had a strong interest in art and I took a number of art classes in undergrad - ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing. As a social worker, I would like to work with the older adult population and incorporate the arts into my career as well, so I am thrilled to be a part of ArtCart.
I'm currently also working part-time on the weekends in a residence for individuals with developmental disabilities with RCALD, part of the YAI Network.
In my scant spare time, I also enjoy knitting, reading, photography, and playing video games.
