I am entering my second year of study in the EdM program in Dance Education at Rutgers University. During the Fall 2015 Semester, I will be student-teaching full time at High Tech High School in North Bergen, NJ, which houses a selective pre-professional dance program. During my first year at Rutgers, I instructed Level I Modern and Ballet courses for undergraduates. This past spring, I worked with the students at PS3 in the West Village to compose a site-specific dance for Richard Serra's work that was performed at the DIA: Beacon Museum. Prior to matriculating at Rutgers, I worked as a dancer and company manager for Mordine & Company Dance Theater in Chicago, IL. The Company was in its 45th season and continued to be directed by its founder; through this experience, I learned a lot about intergenerational collaboration. In 2007, I graduated cum laude from Northwestern University, where I earned honors in Dance and English for my interdisciplinary thesis about the penchant for "playful subversion" shared by Early Modern poet John Donne and contemporary choreographer Mark Morris. I am entranced by intersections of literature, art, dance, and music.
