My name is Yangyang Mao. Currently I am a graduate student of NYU in Art Administration. During my internship in Washington Center, I was deeply impressed by the workshops combined with a unique and interesting topic frequently held there, which aimed to teach students how to make handicrafts. The Center also gave me a precious chance to communicate and interact with local artists. While in Art Market Gallery, I made a contribution to the publicity of the art exhibitions held then by integrating the mass and professional media reasonably. I assisted the journalists and editors in collecting, editing and publishing relevant news on art market. The two internships enabled me to know more and clearer about the art institutions’ operations in both China and America instead of learning only by brief visits or referential materials.
