I was born in Chicago. I'm a mixed media artist, educator, and author and illustrator of many books for children. I have a BFA in printmaking from Howard University and a recent (2015) M.A. in Art Education at the Corcoran College of Arts + Design at The George Washington University. I have studied with contemporary artists around the world and have worked as a teaching artist with the Kennedy Center, the National Museum of Women in the Arts and many other cultural institutions. A few years ago, I served as a personal and studio assistant for a fabulous senior artist and am so happy to be a part of this phenomenal project. I look forward to learning more about the psychology of aging.
